Basic Keto Chaffles
Basic Keto Chaffles

Basic Keto Chaffles A Low Carb Bread Substitute.

What are Chaffles?

Chaffles are fluffy waffle like eats that have popped up overnight and went viral on the internet.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first saw them, but honestly I completely fell in love with them, so before you scroll away let me tell you they are delicious.  Furthermore these golden waffles are gluten free, keto friendly and easy to make.   In 10 minutes using a  small dash waffle iron you create these perfectly round golden waffles.

These waffles are so diverse you can create new flavours and have a lot of fun with them as well they are a great alternative to bread,  I have used them to make clubhouse sandwiches, to replace hamburger buns,  morning breakfast sandwiches or waffles with a sugar free syrup.  The use for them is so diverse they can fit into any weight loss meal plan.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs or 2 eggs whites
  • 1 tbsp of almond flour (Optional)
  • 1 tsp of grape seed or avocado oil or cooking spray

Egg Substitution

  • 1 tbsp of flaxseed
  • 3 tbsp of water

Combine together and let set for 15 minutes until it thickens.

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients together and mix well.
  • Preheat dash waffle iron.
  • Lightly coat top and bottom of dash waffle iron with cooking oil or use cooking spray.
  • Pour enough of the chaffle batter into the waffle maker – approximately a tablespoon and a half
  • Cook until brown and crispy 3 – 4 minutes

Last but not least, be patient and don’t open the dash waffle maker until the 3 minute mark and if you want a more crispier texture cook for another minute.

I would love to hear from you, connect with me on my socials with any questions.

Thank you so much for the share, these look amazing. I have to try it your way as I have done them with just eggs and cheese only. Why did you add the almond flour?

Thank you for reaching out, yes they are really good and a great bread substitute if you are following any weight loss diet. I personally use the almond flour because it gives them more of a bread like texture, when using them to replace a hamburger bun, or when making a sandwich.
Thank you again, for reaching out.
