Beef Kabob
Beef Kabobs

You know it’s summer when these bad boys come out.

Steak kabobs are one of the tastiest summertime dinners. The boys and I are huge BBQ fans, and we BBQ all the time but these can also be broiled in the oven or on an indoor grill pan.

When using the right cut of meat these bad boys when marinated for a couple of hours are so juicy, tasty and tender.

Keep in mind everyone has their own steak preference like New York strip steak or sirloin steak as these cuts can also be used, but I personally like using a tenderloin cut.   It’s very lean and melt in your mouth tender.

You can prepare the beef cubes ahead of time and incorporate vegetables like peppers, mushrooms to dress it up.   We really enjoy them this way with a simple side like a salad and dinner is not only healthy but it’s quick.

Incorporating beef into your diet not only is it packed with vitamins and minerals it’s also high in protein so if you are on a weight loss journey and exercising it will help with muscle mass.

BBQ Cooking Method
BBQ Cooking Method

These beef kabobs are on 10-inch skewers and it fits about 8 pieces creating 7 individual beef kabobs.

Ingredients

2 lbs (7 cups)  tenderloin cut into 1-inch pieces

1/2 tbsp of garlic powder

1/2 tbsp dried parsley

1/2 tbsp of onion powder

1/2 tsp of paprika

1/3 cup of olive oil

salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation

Combined all ingredients and mix until everything is incorporated and each cube is coated.

Marinate beef for 1 -2 hours so that the ingredients mingle.

Once it has marinated thread the beef cubes on a skewer, depending on the length of the skewer you can range from 5 to 8 pieces.

Whichever cooking method you are using BBQ, indoor grilling pan or broiler (with a broiler place on the low rack so it does not burn) heat at high-temperature place skewers on and rotate every 2 minutes so each side is seared.

Lower temperature to medium and cook beef kabobs rotating continuously to your liking from blue rare to well done.

And… ENJOY!

I hope these Healthy Tips inspire you and help you get started to a healthy lifestyle that you can enjoy and maintain.
